Specialist-level care close to home
Dental Implants in Diamond Bar, CA
Dental implants can replace one tooth, several teeth, or support a more stable full-arch restoration. Implant care is planned by Nazari, a prosthodontist and oral surgeon with fellowship training in implant surgery. We begin with a careful examination and explain whether treatment fits your health, comfort, and goals.
What you can expect
- Evaluation by a prosthodontist and oral surgeon
- Implant and non-implant alternatives
- Coordinated surgical and restorative planning
- Written costs and expected timeline
Who is a good candidate for dental implants?
Many adults who are missing one or more teeth can be candidates. Good candidates usually have healthy gums, enough jawbone to support an implant (or can have it rebuilt with bone grafting), and general health that allows routine oral surgery.
Smoking, uncontrolled diabetes, active gum disease, and some medications can affect healing, so we review your health history carefully. These factors don't always rule out implants, but they change the plan and the risks we discuss with you.
How implant treatment works
- Consultation and imaging: an examination and 3D (CBCT) imaging show the bone, nerves, and sinus so the implant can be planned precisely.
- Preparation, if needed: a failing tooth may be removed, and bone or gum grafting can rebuild support.
- Implant placement: a small titanium post is placed in the jaw, usually with local anesthesia; sedation is available when appropriate.
- Healing: the bone bonds to the implant over several months. A temporary tooth can often be worn in the meantime.
- Final restoration: a custom crown, bridge, or denture is attached to the implant and adjusted to your bite.
Why a prosthodontist plans your implant
A prosthodontist is a specialist in replacing teeth. Planning the final tooth first—its shape, bite, and appearance—and then placing the implant to support it helps the result look natural and function well for years.
Recovery and long-term care
Most patients return to normal activities within a day or two. Mild swelling and soreness are common for a few days, and we'll give you written aftercare instructions and a soft-food plan. Once restored, an implant is cleaned like a natural tooth—brushing, flossing, and regular professional visits help it last for many years.
Alternatives we'll discuss
Depending on your needs, alternatives may include a bridge or a removable partial or complete denture. We explain the benefits, limitations, and cost of each option in writing.
A clear, personal first step
Your visit begins with listening and a clinical evaluation. Recommendations depend on your examination and health history. We explain alternatives, anticipated costs, insurance considerations, and timing before you decide.

Frequently asked questions
Does insurance cover dental implants?
We accept Medi-Cal Dental (Denti-Cal) and welcome PPO dental plans. Coverage depends on your specific plan and the service, so our team verifies your benefits before treatment.
How do I know if this is the right treatment for me?
Recommendations begin with a clinical evaluation and a conversation about your goals, health history, and options. We explain alternatives, costs, and timing before you decide.
How long does treatment take?
Timelines depend on your individual evaluation and treatment plan. We'll give you a written estimate of the expected timeline before treatment begins.
Does getting a dental implant hurt?
Implant placement is done with local anesthesia, and sedation is available when appropriate. Most patients describe mild soreness for a few days afterward, which is usually managed with over-the-counter pain relief.
How long do dental implants last?
With good home care and regular dental visits, implants can last for many years. The crown on top may eventually need replacement from normal wear.
Can I get an implant if I've been told I don't have enough bone?
Often, yes. Bone grafting or sinus grafting can rebuild support, and 3D imaging shows whether that is needed.
